Woodward 8444-1092 Multifunction Relay with CANopen / Modbus Communication
The Woodward 8444-1092 is a multifunction measuring transducer and protection relay designed for monitoring single‑phase and three‑phase power systems. It features voltage and current inputs for accurate true RMS measurement, even in the presence of harmonics, transients, or disturbances. A digital processor calculates key electrical values including real, reactive, and apparent power, as well as power factor (cos φ). These values are transmitted to supervisory control systems via CANopen or Modbus protocols. The unit also performs mains decoupling monitoring with four configurable undervoltage functions for fault ride‑through (FRT) applications, making it suitable for grid‑connected power generation and distribution systems.
