The Woodward 5446-348 is a rugged digital controller designed for precise positioning of industrial valves in critical process applications. It delivers high accuracy (±0.15%) and meets SIL2 safety standards for reliable operation in demanding environments.
As part of the 505XT control platform, the 5446-348 supports a range of control functions including speed and frequency regulation, extraction and admission header pressure control, turbine and generator load management, and plant import/export power control. It also enables isochronous load sharing when used with DSLC™‑II controllers and can manage various process variables directly related to turbine or unit load.
